How to use Tamiya Metal Primer and Surface Primer?
Hello,
I am new to this Tamiya Model stuff.
I recently bought a Lexus LFA model kit and the kit comes with the photo-etched parts which needs metal primer.
Can anyone tell me the proper procedure to using Metal Primer?
Also, I am painting a new color on the Lexus LFA
and people tells me to use primer before putting the new color on.
So my second question is, how to use Surface Primer before putting the new paint on.
Please do give me the proper procedure

Photo-etched parts are a Metal Parts.
I got someone gave me an answer telling me to buy a printer to print these parts out.
To that person: Search for photo-etched parts before you answer. Don't assume the word photo means printing a picture from a printer.

Tamiya Primer is great stuff, I use it exclusively. I've also sprayed it on photo-etch as well as plastic with no problems. No need to buy two different sprays. On the new stuff, make sure you wash the parts in dish soap/water first to get finger oils off, then handle carefully to avoid more oils. Tamiya primer goes on very smoothly, but try not to get too close to avoid drips. Two light coats is better than one wet drippy coat.
As for the re-paint, sand the painted car down with some 400-600 grit wet/dry sandpaper. Sand wet, dipping it in a bowl of water as you go. This will prep the surface and give the primer something to bite onto. You can use same sandpaper to lightly wet sand after primer is dry to polish up surface and get rid of any blemishes. Then spray color as needed Tamiya spray colors are great too. Hope that helps.
